Concrete Gel Injection - Below-Ground Waterproofing from the Interior Side CGI Northeast introduces Concrete Gel Injection, an innovative waterproofing system that eliminates water leakage in basement foundation walls and floors, cellars, parking garages, sidewalk vaults and even elevator pits, without the need of costly and disruptive exterior excavation. “CGI” is performed on the interior, or negative side of the structure, by drilling holes and then injecting a two-component hydrophilic resin system, that has water-like viscosity, and chemically reacts to form a flexible sealing gel, through the process of polymerization. Component ‘A’ consists of a methyl acrylate resin mixed with a certain amount of an accelerator, that adjusts the setting time of the resulting gel. Component ‘B’ is tap water mixed with a tiny amount of catalyst or hardener.
