Let's Help Kids

Let’s Help Kids was started by a 6-year-old girl. We inspire, encourage, and educate children about paying it forward by providing them with the opportunity to give gifts and experiences to children less fortunate than themselves. We seek to improve the lives of elementary-aged children in Virginia, Maryland, and DC, who are living in financial stress by providing them with experiences and gifts of happiness that other social service agencies and charities cannot offer. We provide the extras that are so often overlooked. Items such as bikes, birthday cakes, trips to the movies, and Halloween costumes that are mainstays of childhood. But for a child who must do without, there is a feeling of not being normal, shame, and sadness. We believe in uplifting the spirits of children who need it most so that they can feel normal, proud, and happy — the way most of us remember our own childhood. In addition, we aim to educate and inspire elementary-aged children about philanthropy and giving back in their communities
