Vance Cooper is the principal of LG Mediation & Arbitration Services Inc. He practiced law for 25 years primarily in the areas of personal injury and insurance litigation. In that context, he acted as counsel for plaintiffs, defendants, insurers, insureds and self insured parties and participated in well over 1,000 mediations. He worked with and learned from over 20 experienced mediators in the field and is indebted to them for their tutelage and camaraderie. Since 2005, Vance has worked primarily as a mediator and as an arbitrator. Vance has mediated over 1,000 matters primarily in the areas of personal injury and insurance (first party disputes, life and disability, cargo and fire). Vance has served as a private arbitrator under Ontario's Insurance Act in the context of deciding disputes between insurers (priority disputes and loss transfer disputes). In addition to being certified by the International Mediation Institute, Vance is a Chartered Mediator of the ADR Institute of Canada.
