Myrtle Street Studio is a new independent ARI (Artist Run Initiative) which opened its doors to the public in early 2010. Situated within one of Brisbanes' most well preserved and prestigious inner-city suburbs, it incorporates a gallery space, specialist book/print store and artist studio. Being located only 5km from the CBD, the Studio can be easily accessed by both public transport and car.
Specifically initiated to fill a gap in Brisbanes' current art scene, Myrtle Street Studio represents student and emerging artists who work primarily in print and paper-based media. Our aim is to provide a professional yet accessible contemporary art space for the local community.
In keeping with our focus on print and paper related media, we predominantly exhibit the following:
