The Power of Nutrition is a charitable foundation whose primary focus is improving the nutritional welfare and care of young children and adolescent mothers in Africa and Asia. It is the first organisation dedicated to raising new money to improve children’s nutrition on a large scale.
In support to these objectives, we have set ambitious goals for 2020:
• Unlocking up to $1 billion in new financing for nutrition;
• Investing in 5-10 nutrition hotspots;
• Protecting up to 10 million children from stunting; and
• Saving at least 100,000 lives.
Our strategic approach is guided by a commitment to focus, due diligence and scale through co-financing.
We invest in a carefully-selected portfolio of investments that have the potential to deliver impact at scale. Each of the investments in our portfolio supports a core set of nutrition-specific interventions that have been proven to improve child and maternal nutrition outcomes in eligible hotspots – geographies with the highest rates of undernutrition.
