Idea for ‘Til We Meet Again began in the early 90’s when one of our founding partners attended the funeral of a teenage boy who he met while volunteering for the Muscular Dystrophy Association during high school and college. It was frustrating to see a vibrant young man who was an inspiration to others living with neuromuscular disease lying in a very traditional casket that did not represent the life he had lived. He loved the color red, his friends and the time spent at MDA camp each year.
Later, while sitting in a boring business meeting, Nathan drew his first custom casket, a race car casket. He tucked it away, but an idea was born. Life went on but the idea remained and it grew.
Over the years custom caskets began to make their way into the market, with the majority of sales generated through the internet.
