Pour répondre aux besoins de formation de la population des MRC des Maskoutains et d’Acton, la Commission scolaire de Saint-Hyacinthe dispense des services d’enseignement aux jeunes d'âge préscolaire, primaire et secondaire. Elle offre également des programmes en formation professionnelle au secondaire, aux adultes et en entreprise.
Notre commission scolaire compte environ 13 000 élèves, desservis par plus de 2 300 personnes, œuvrant dans les secteurs de l’enseignement, des services professionnels, du soutien et de l’encadrement. Elle regroupe :
-31 écoles primaires;
-4 établissements secondaires;
-une école spécialisée à vocation régionale, accueillant des élèves handicapés ou en difficulté d'adaptation ou d'apprentissage, au primaire et au secondaire;
-un centre de formation professionnelle;
-un centre de formation des adultes.
Le budget annuel est d'environ 120 millions de dollars.
