本公司成立於民國四十三年，歷經四十餘年之努力，目前資本額為４８０億７仟萬元，茲將本公司目前之經營業務及產品介紹如后：
在塑膠原料製品方面，包括ＰＶＣ粉、ＶＣＭ、液鹼、鹽酸、塑膠改質劑、高密度聚乙烯、聚乙烯醋酸乙烯酯、低密度聚乙烯、線性低密度聚乙烯等產品，其中ＰＶＣ粉年產能一佰三十二萬九千噸，不僅係台灣最大生產廠，若含美國投資公司年產能達二佰五十六萬噸，是世界上最大ＰＶＣ粉生產廠之一。配合政府環保政策，鹼廠生產方式由水銀法改採離子交換膜法，液鹼年產能九十八萬三千噸。塑膠改質劑是本公司自行研發成功之產品，其中ＭＢＳ耐衝擊改質劑年產能一萬五仟六佰噸、ＰＡ加工助劑年產能五仟七佰六十噸、ＡＭ耐候改質劑年產能一仟四佰四十噸，合計年產能二萬二仟八佰噸，對國內發展高附加價值產品頗有助益。高密度聚乙烯年產能五十萬噸，係國內最大生產廠，聚乙烯醋酸乙烯酯、低密度聚乙烯年產能二十一萬二仟噸，線性低密度聚乙烯年產能二十四萬噸。
