A Glimmer of Hope empowers rural Ethiopian communities to end the cycle of extreme poverty through the transformative impact of clean water, education, health care and microfinance opportunities.
We partner with and work alongside the Ethiopian people to support the country’s own development goals and create sustainable change.
Since Glimmer’s founding in 2000, we have invested $85 million, built more than 9,000 projects and distributed 44,000 microfinance loans—impacting millions of lives in rural Ethiopia. With an endowment that covers all operating costs, 100% of every donation goes directly to projects in the field.
