AFRIpads Ltd. is a fast-growing social business in Uganda that manufactures and sells cost-effective reusable (cloth) sanitary pads. The company's mission is to empower women and girls through business, innovation and opportunity.
The company is in its 8th year of operation (est. 2010) and is the leading supplier of reusable sanitary pads across Africa, with over 1.5 million products sold. AFRIpads has received multiple local and international awards for social entrepreneurship and innovation, and continues to grow rapidly at a rate of 70% per annum. Headquartered in Kampala, Uganda and with sales offices in Nairobi, Kenya and Zomba, Malawi, AFRIpads currently employs over 150 staff across all locations.
