Established in 1957, the Allen Park Police Department is a community-based police department dedicated to serving our citizens any way possible. Allen Park enjoys a rich history that spans back to the late 19th century. From its beginning as a farming district, Allen Park has always been known as a vital, productive community with a small-town atmosphere. The city lost none of its friendliness even when industry became the main source of income and the pace quickened substantially. We are proud of our city's ability to keep sight of what is important while responding positively to inevitable changes. It takes unified cooperation on the part of each citizen to accomplish this optimistic drive.
