ampCNG is building a network of ultra fast-fill CNG (compressed natural gas) stations specific to U.S. commercial trucking fleets. CNG is produced domestically in the U.S., transported efficiently across existing natural gas pipelines, burns 30% less CO2, with negligible noise and smog creation, and is roughly half the price of diesel and gasoline.
CNG can be sourced from the ground or as a renewable fuel from methane producing waste products such as trash or manure. Ultra fast-fill CNG stations are designed to fuel long-haul CNG fleets that run upwards of 80,000 pounds across hundreds of thousands of miles, providing significant variable cost savings for equipment that lasts longer because CNG burns cleaner.
ampCNG runs the commercial fleet with the most CNG powered miles in the U.S. at Fair Oaks Dairy Farm, in northwest Indiana, where CNG is sourced from the manure of 13,000+ on-site dairy cows.
