Arbutus Biopharma Corporation (formerly Tekmira Pharmaceuticals Corporation) is a publicly-traded (NASDAQ:ABUS) biopharmaceutical company dedicated to discovering, developing and commercializing a cure for patients suffering from chronic hepatitis B infection, a disease of the liver caused by hepatitis B virus (HBV). We are developing a portfolio of drug candidates with multiple mechanisms of action that we believe will result in a combination therapy that will transform the HBV treatment landscape and cure hepatitis B virus disease.
In addition to our HBV Assets, we are developing a pipeline of oncology and metabolic programs that leverage our expertise in RNA interference (RNAi) therapeutics and our Lipid Nanoparticle (LNP) technology.
