ARRIOLA & FIOL, arquitectes was founded in 1987 with the principal objectives of exploring the interrelationship between Architecture and Urbanism. The ambition was that of closing the traditional gap between these disciplines. This is achieved by means of designing Urbanism based on specific projects and planning Architecture in the public realm.
Architecture, Design and Construction
Architects design buildings and the spaces around buildings. They work for individuals, companies and governments, from small scale projects like private houses to large scale projects like office complexes and shopping centers. Architects do not only design the building itself, but also the landscape around it, from how the building will be positioned on the plot and how it will interact with its surroundings. Architects also need to consider the purpose of the building, the materials used for its construction and the impact the building will have on its environment.
