ASPAYM Castilla y León tiene como seña de identidad, trabajar para mejorar las condiciones de vida del colectivo de personas con discapacidad en general, y lesionados medulares en particular. Para ello, cada año, renovamos nuestro esfuerzo con programas y actividades en las que participan nuestros socios y/o usuarios.
La Asociación nace en 1992 en Valladolid con vocación autonómica y para dar respuesta a las inquietudes que antiguos lesionados medulares, pacientes del Hospital Nacional de Parapléjicos, que siendo originarios de Castilla y León tenían.
La ambición de esta Asociación se centró en el colectivo de personas con discapacidad física, concretamente motora y de manera especial con movilidad reducida. Para ello se intenta romper barreras respecto a los prejuicios que la sociedad tradicional tenía y en menor grado aún tiene, respecto a aquellos que son diferentes.
