Ball Memorial Hospital, a Clarian Health Partner, was founded in 1929 and serves as a regional tertiary referral center, a teaching hospital and is the largest non-government employer in East Central Indiana, employing 2,500 with a payroll exceeding $95 million. BMH is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and is ISO certified. BMH boasts a 260-member clinical staff, which represents more than 45 medical specialties, and approximately 87 percent of that group is board certified (a figure that is well above the national average).
