The Bay Head Yacht Club was organized and founded in 1888 "to promote yachting and rowing and to foster athletic sports upon the water and to promote the general prosperity of Bay Head." More than 120 years later, BHYC enjoys a membership of almost 900 families. The Club is located at the northern terminus of Barnegat Bay in New Jersey where several sailing Olympians and world champions have competed.
