Bota Foundation

Registered in April 2008, the BOTA Foundation was established with the mission to improve the lives of children, youth and their families suffering from poverty in Kazakhstan through investment in their health, education and social welfare. The BOTA Foundation currently offers 3 programs: 1. The Conditional cash transfer program (CCT) is an innovative social welfare mechanism introduced in 20 countries worldwide. The goal of the Program is to improve lives of children from low-income families through increased access to health care, educational and social services by providing cash incentive for people in need. 2. The Social services program (SSP) makes grants to local and international non-governmental organizations (NGOs) working to improve the lives of children and youth from impoverished families. 3) The Tuition assistance program (TAP) helps youth aged up to 29 with strong academic performance, but lacking in financial means, to undertake higher education, including vocational education, within Kazak
