bpha is a Housing Association that provides customers with high quality, value for money services whilst continuing to develop sustainable and affordable housing. Based in Bedford and operating in the Home Counties between Oxford and Cambridge, we own over 17,600 homes and employ over 340 staff.
We’ve accomplished a lot since we opened our doors in 1990. Our housing offering has increased from 2 products to 10, and we’ve built award-winning properties in Cambridge following a successful bid to create 3,300 affordable homes in the area. In 2014 we won the largest Help to Buy contract, and we now operate as the Help to Buy agent for the East and South East.
Our strong financial position and robust governance model has helped us to build the foundations for a modern, forward looking Housing Association. This has been reflected by our regulator, the Homes and Communities Agency, awarding us the highest possible Viability and Governance ratings.
