Gil Demers and his wife Charlotte published the first Warren Weekly in 1980 and founded C & G Newspapers in 1981. Within a few years, they were joined in business by their five children: Karen, Jeff, Gregg, Keith and Suzanne. Today, C & G employs more than 100 people and publishes 20 local editions from Grosse Pointe to Farmington, from Warren to Rochester and everywhere in between.
C & G Newspapers are mailed weekly to more than 600,000 homes, covering 47 communities and 67 zip codes. As daily newspapers have continued to decline in circulation and readership, C & G has continued to grow and now reaches more than one million readers each week.
