Cambridge Development Initiative
The Cambridge Development Initiative is an entirely student-led organisation, currently operating with a branch at Cambridge University (CDI UK), and another in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania (CDI Tanzania). We have operated a set of four community development projects since 2013: Education, WaSH, Health and Entrepreneurship. These projects aim to empower disadvantaged local communities. By partnering with local initiatives and organisations, as well as seeking support and advice from local government, our impact is sustainable and successful. We believe that by creating international collaborations, and by empowering local changemakers, students can be the catalyst for sustainable development.
