Caregivers assist their family members or friends with challenges resulting from a disability, illness, or aging.
Caregivers Alberta aims to empower caregivers and promote their well-being. We do this by:
• Providing group and one-on-one supports that help caregivers connect with others, navigate the system and look after themselves while providing care.
• Increasing communities’ capacity to support caregivers by educating professionals, promoting networking and referrals, and sharing programs
• Advocating for policy changes that will make a difference in caregivers’ lives
Caregivers Alberta is always looking for opportunities to partner on the development and delivery of supports for caregivers. Through our Work & Care program (www.workandcare.ca) we provide education, tools and resources to help employers better understand and support their employees with caregiving responsibilities.
