MISSION: To improve the quality of life through education.
In sixth grade, Carson Glore and Nathan Nerland dreamed of becoming grade school teachers just like Mr. McLean & Ms. Rott and hoped for classrooms next to each other so they could work together the rest of their lives.
Things changed that year and those dreams reshaped the future of hundreds of people’s lives for years to come. In 2009 Nathan found an organization called Build Africa who’s main focus is to work with rural areas of Uganda and Kenya to combine learning and earning opportunities which offer children and their families long-term solutions to poverty.
He knew this was the perfect way for me to help carry on Carson’s legacy. On September 1, 2011, he made a commitment to Build Africa to follow through on this goal and over the course of the next 82 days, raised over $34,000 build a school in Kamyua, Kenya.
The support was overwhelming - and the need in Africa was so great, they founded a board and became Carson Glore Foundation
