In spring 2003 a small group of entrepreneurs from five historic companies of Emilia Romagna set up CGS Consolidamenti S.P.A., a service company specialised in the stabilization of road surfaces and subgrades.
The business intuition of creating a company specialised in the sector of subgrades and road building immediately proved to be successful.
In a few years CSG has become the Italian leading company of the sector and is among the most important companies at the European level in the field of cold recycled mixtures.
Furthermore, it is one of the three most important companies in Italy in the more famous field of subgrade stabilization.
From the beginning, CGS has developed its own market on the national territory, with several millions of square metres to its credit. It has been appointed as equipment and binder tester by some of the most important producers worldwide.
