Charity Navigator, www.charitynavigator.org, is the largest independent evaluator of US based charities.
Charity Navigator helps guide intelligent giving by evaluating the Financial Health, Accountability and Transparency of nearly 8,000 charities and by disclosing basic information on the remainder of the 1.57 million U.S. nonprofits. Charity Navigator is working on expanding its ratings methodology to include a review of each charity's Results Reporting as well as expanding the number of charities that it rates.
TIME Magazine called Charity Navigator "One of America's 50 Coolest Websites."
