The Brenda Strafford Foundation is a charity whose guiding principle is to “Cater to humanity and to bring a measure of hope to people whose outlook seems hopeless."
We are committed to achieving excellent standards that promote, enhance and transform peoples’ quality of life. It is our desire to provide outstanding care to seniors, support research that brings evidence and new knowledge for innovative older adult care and services, assist those in crisis through our compassionate support and help the poor receive health care when they need it. Since 1975 we have been expanding our charitable endeavours by:
- Partnering with the University of Calgary at the Centre on Aging, research in dementia and prevention of domestic violence;
- Supporting the Brenda Strafford Society for the Prevention of Domestic Violence, a second stage shelter and progressive housing service;
- Enhancing the quality of life for seniors in our care;
- Providing medical care through our health clinics in Haiti, Dominica, and Ja
