El Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya és una institució que compta amb una trajectòria de més de vuitanta anys, durant els quals s'ha consolidat en la nostra societat com a referent d'arquitectura amb prestigi a nivell nacional i internacional.
La missió del Col·legi és defensar el valor social de l'arquitectura i l'urbanisme envers la societat i en representació dels arquitectes. Per tal d'aconseguir-ho, les principals atribucions que té són:
- Vetllar per la qualitat arquitectònica.
- Donar servei als arquitectes col·legiats.
- Defensar, representar i promoure el treball dels arquitectes.
- Difondre l'arquitectura socialment i culturalment.
El Col·legi té prop de 10.000 arquitectes col·legiats a tot el territori català i s’organitza en cinc demarcacions -Barcelona, Girona, Tarragona, Lleida i Ebre-, i un seguit de seus i delegacions per tal d'atendre els col·legiats en un àmbit més proper.

Architects do not only design the building itself, but also the landscape around it, from how the building will be positioned on the plot and how it will interact with its surroundings.
