Commonwealth Games Scotland

Commonwealth Games Scotland (CGS) is the lead body for Commonwealth Sport in Scotland and our membership is made up of the Scottish governing bodies of the 26 Commonwealth Games Sports. We are one of 71 Commonwealth Games Associations who are members of the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF). The CGF is the parent body for the Games, responsible for its direction and control and their mission is to unite the Commonwealth through sport. Commonwealth Games Scotland is responsible for selecting, preparing and managing Scotland’s team at the Commonwealth Games and Commonwealth Youth Games – ‘preparing for success’. For each Games, we aim to deliver the best prepared team possible, creating the right environment and giving athletes every opportunity to excel – ‘enabling athletes to excel’. Commonwealth Games Scotland is laying the foundations for success at the Youth Games in the Bahamas in 2017 and driving forward its plans for Team Scotland success in Gold Coast 2018 and all Games thereafter. cg
