UKSSD e. V. – Unabhängiges Komitee für Sozialentwicklung und selbstorganisierte Demokratie e.V., (English: Independent Committee for Social Development & Self-organized Democracy), is a Diaspora, student, and Youth-led non-profit non-governmental independent organization founded in 2012. It was founded by students and youth intellectuals and based on voluntary work. It has 3 social youth centers in northern Syria and runs activities for youth development in Leipzig, Germany. Our teams and members are from various backgrounds. Our goal is to make a safe transfer intercultural bridge made of youth so we achieve a real inclusion in our communities by providing the space and giving the means to youth so they develop their skills and societies they live in. UKSSD was founded by dedicated independent students and activists to create a transparent, safe, creative place and space for youth in the country and extend our network internationally.
