Dress for Success Oregon is an anti-poverty nonprofit that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
Since opening our doors in 1999, we have served almost 17,000 low-income women in our community. In 2013, we helped more than 500 women find employment and start the path out of poverty and towards a life of self-sufficiency.
Dress for Success Oregon offers three proven core services:
Professional Clothing
Our clients, who are referred to us through one of our partner social service agencies, meet one-on-one with a volunteer personal shopper at a scheduled time to ensure they receive the personal attention they deserve. They receive workplace-appropriate clothing and a significant boost in their self-esteem. Hairstylists and makeup artists are available onsite to provide a variety of salon services.
