DroneSeed offers full lifecycle services for forestry management by using an efficient, cost-competitive fleet of drones to reduce reliance on manual labor. Founded in 2015 by eco-tech startup veterans Grant Canary and Ryan Mykita, plus engineer Logan Ullyott, DroneSeed first won the Beaverton, Oregon $100K Challenge. Shortly after, they were one of the nine startups out of 1,000 applicants to be selected for the TechStars Seattle program. Currently, DroneSeed is conducting several paid pilot programs, including a watershed restoration project with water utility Clean Water Services.
