IBMA is the worldwide trade organization working for the success of bluegrass music. With more than 2500 members in over 30 countries, the organization represents artists, composers, publishers, talent agents/managers, broadacsters, labels, event producers, educators, merchandisers, luthiers, associations and others involved with an interest in the music.
The organization is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee and also hosts the annual World of Bluegrass week there each fall. The week includes the industry's business conference, the International Bluegrass Music Awards and Bluegrass Fan Fest.
IBMA works year round on a number of initiatives to foster the growth and appreciation for the music and is affiliated with the Foundation for Bluegrass Music, the Bluegrass Trust Fund and the International Bluegrass Music Museum. The museum is located in Owensboro, Kentucky and houses the IBMA's Hall of Fame.
