Founded in 1938 by Benjamin Shyer, Eastern States Eyewear has been an industry leader in distributing high end, luxury eyewear and sunwear for over 75 years. Originally a one man operation, the company expanded into the national distribution of several prestigious worldwide brands. 2nd generation co-presidents Roger and Paul Shyer continue to develop the company to fulfill its mission of delivering innovative concepts in product and promotion to the quality, high fashion optical niche.
Catapulting into prominence in the early 1980’s through its association with the phenomenon known as “CAZZIE FEVER”, ESE has grown to establish itself as a diverse company possessing a wide range of highly desirable, fashion eyewear collections. In addition to Cazal, ESE now distributes the officially licensed Jaguar Eyewear collection, the luxurious Diva eyewear, the handmade Ete Lunettes, the French designer collection of Chantal Thomass, as well as the original collection in Exces Eyewear.
