§ 1 The Association’s objectives are:
a) to promote biological safety with the objective to minimize risk to man and environment, caused by biological substances and materials;
b) to promote the recognition of biological safety as a distinct scientific discipline;
c) to promote knowledge and understanding of biological safety;
d) to establish a forum for the continued exchange of information and best practices of biological safety amongst the members;
e) to create a platform for continuous exchange of information on biosafety, more specific to organise an annual conference or other platform
