Jacksonville, FL, October 21, 2014: Flightstar Aircraft Services, LLC will complete its newest aircraft maintenance hangar at their Cecil Airport (VQQ) headquarters in Jacksonville, FL. on October, 31st . Flightstar, in conjunction with the Jacksonville Aviation Authority and local government officials, selected Balfour Beatty to construct the 130,000 ft2 clear-span hangar. The facility design allows for maximum flexibility of fleet types and is capable of accommodating 4 to 7 aircraft from the B717 up to the B767. “The addition of this hangar to our campus in Jacksonville bolsters our commitment to strategic growth and the use of modern facilities. Flighstar is dedicated to becoming the world leader in outsourced aircraft maintenance and this facility reaffirms that commitment,” said President and C.E.O. Jerry Hernandez.
