ForKids is a non-profit agency founded in 1988 with a mission to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty for families and children. Today, ForKids is the largest service provider for homeless families in the state of Virginia. We currently serve up to 165 families on any given day with over 350 children by providing housing, education and vital services for these families experiencing homelessness or at imminent risk of homelessness throughout South Hampton Roads. Additional education and outreach services are provided through the ForKids in Schools program and ForKids' Regional Housing Crisis Hotline. Over the last 12 months, ForKids received over 13,000 calls from those seeking assistance in Hampton Roads.
