It also provides stabilizers and direct current (DC) converters for offshore wind farms, renewable energy sources, battery storage, etc.; and power electronics equipment for alternate current (AC)/DC conversion, and interconnection of DC and AC power in high voltage or medium voltage grids, as well as on long distance high voltage DC. In addition, the company offers grid automation solutions that protect, control, and monitor electrical grid, such as MICOM agile protection relays; HA MIDOS; DS agile substation digital control systems; digital automated platform server remote terminal unit based control applications; protection and control schemes; and engineered panel solutions, as well as customer support services. Further, it offers software solutions and platforms, including energy management systems, distribution management systems, geospatial information systems, outage management, demand response, and load forecasting and analytics solutions for grid control rooms and market management systems. Additionally, the company offers various services in the areas of network design, asset consultancy, condition monitoring analysis, predictive maintenance, emergency support, and long term service contracts. The company was formerly known as Alstom T&D India Limited and changed its name to GE T&D India Limited in August 2016. GE T&D India Limited was incorporated in 1957 and is based in New Delhi, India. GE T&D India Limited is a subsidiary of Grid Equipments Limited.
