Girl’s sister board brand Chocolate Skateboards was born in 1994. The two brands often work as one, but maintain a separate unique identity. In 1996 Fourstar Clothing was formed by Girl riders Guy Mariano and Eric Koston with the desire to make fashionable clothes for skateboarders, designed by skateboarders.Lakai Limited Footwear, started in 1999, is currently the leading “skater-owned” brand in the skate shoe industry. Lakai has been able to push successful “lifestyle” designs while keeping its strong roots in skateboarding.
