Glostrup Kommune er på mange måder en lille forstads-oase, der igennem tiden har udviklet sig fra et lokalsamfund i fremdrift til en moderne, dynamisk kommune.
Glostrup Kommune er en mellemstor kommune med ca. 22.000 borgere, og ca. 2.000 medarbejdere ansat i hele organisationen. Vores kommunale opgaver spænder fra at arbejder direkte med børn, unge, voksne og ældre på kommunens institutioner, vedligeholde og udvikling af by-rummet, til medarbejdere der arbejder med udvikling og administration.
I Glostrup Kommune arbejder vi ud fra de to fælles tværgående kerneopgaver mestring og udfoldelse. Det betyder, at alt hvad vi som kommune foretager os skal være med til at understøtte, at kommunens borgere har de bedste forudsætninger for at mestre deres liv og udfolde sig.
