HISTORIA Y FUNDACIÓN
Cámara Guatemalteca de la Construcción es la entidad cúpula representativa del Sector Construcción de Guatemala a nivel Nacional e Internacional. Fue constituida en el mes de enero de 1971 y aprobados sus Estatutos el 15 de enero de 1974. Es una asociación civil, apolítica y no lucrativa.
Cámara Guatemalteca de la Construcción se constituye básicamente por las empresas constructoras de todo tipo de infraestructura para el país, empresas constructoras, fabricantes, proveedoras, consultoras, financieras y de servicios vinculados a la industria de la construcción del país.
Inicialmente fueron conformadas la Asociación Guatemalteca de Contratistas de la Construcción (AGCC) el 12 de septiembre de 1,966 y la Asociación Nacional de Constructores de Viviendas (Anacovi) fundada el 25 de octubre de 1,966; quienes posteriormente nombraron a Cámara Guatemalteca de la Construcción su ente rector institucional.
