About Department of Computer Science:
Department of Computer Science was established in 1987 as a computer center. It provides support to Research and Analytical Projects of various departments of Gujarat Vidyapith. Today from a mere computer center, the department has evolved into a full-fledged educational department. Identifying the future of computer education, one year Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application (PGDCA) was introduced in 1988. As the global need of good computer programmer rose, a three year Master in Computer Application (MCA) was also introduced in 1994. This was followed by M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs in Computer Science.
About Gujarat Vidyapith:
Gujarat Vidyapith is funded by the University Grants Commission. It was founded by Mahatma Gandhi in 1920 and is working as a deemed university since 1963. The Institute imparts higher education with an integrated system of education from Nursery to Doctorate level. The main objective is to prepare citizen of character, ability, culture
