Das Unternehmen Häussermann Lamellen GmbH im Esslinger Stadtteil Mettingen stellt Tellerfedern für Kraft- und Nutzfahrzeug-Getriebe her. Häussermann ist Weltmarktführer für Präzisions-Tellerfedern im Antriebsstrang von Nutzfahrzeugen, sowie Weltmarktführer im Bereich Well-Lamellen in Kfz-Automatgetrieben.
Das Unternehmen wurde 1927 von August Häussermann in Esslingen-Mettingen gegründet. Ursprünglich produzierte die Firma unter dem Markennamen Lamellen und Kupplungsbau August Häußermann (LuK) ausschließlich Lamellen für die Auto- und Motorradindustrie, für Lokomotivgetriebe und Flugmotoren, sowie für den allgemeinen Maschinenbau. Später kamen komplette Lamellenkupplungen für den Maschinenbau sowie Kupplungsscheiben für Kfz-Kupplungen dazu.
Häussermann fertigt in Standorten in Esslingen, Heidelberg und Illinois/USA und ist durchgängig nach EN ISO 9001 und ISO/TS 16949 zertifiziert.
Die Produkte von Häussermann werden primär im Antriebsstrang von Landmaschinen, Baumaschinen, Bussen und PKW eingesetzt,
