Landschapsarchitecten in de buitenruimte
Sinds de oprichting in oktober 1983 heeft Hollandschap zich ontwikkeld tot een onafhankelijk multidisciplinair plan- en adviesbureau voor de inrichting van de stedelijke ruimte en het landelijk gebied.
De werkzaamheden bestaan veelal uit inventariseren, analyseren en communiceren, maar vooral uit het genereren van plannen. Vaak zijn commerciële, maar soms ook internationale, aspecten daarbij van belang.
Bij alle projecten staan de begrippen functioneren, beleven en realiseren voorop. Draagvlak is in de planvorming een belangrijk gegeven, om met betrokkenen te kunnen overleggen en de gestelde randvoorwaarden voor het plangebied te onderzoeken. Ook andere omstandigheden, zoals beleidsvorming, financiering, procedures et cetera, zijn van belang. Iedere keer wordt de grens gezocht van dat wat haalbaar is.
Gewone opgaven en prijsvragen vormen doorgaans het uitgangspunt voor de verschillende projecten.

Architecture, Design and Construction

Architects do not only design the building itself, but also the landscape around it, from how the building will be positioned on the plot and how it will interact with its surroundings. Architects also need to consider the purpose of the building, the materials used for its construction and the impact the building will have on its environment.
