Glenn Howells Architects was established in 1990 and over the last 25 years has built a strong reputation for delivering design excellence and high quality, award-winning projects. We have won a number of design competitions and in addition to being short listed for the RIBA Stirling Prize in 2007 (The Savill Building), we have received over 90 national awards.
We enjoy working on a diverse range of national and international projects which are published worldwide and include mixed use schemes, theatres, cinemas, aparthotels, visitor centres and education and residential projects for both private and public clients.
With offices in Birmingham and London, we have a broad range of expertise from master planning, feasibility studies, concept design through to full architectural construction design, construction contract management, landscape and urban design.
Architecture, Design and Construction
Architects design buildings and the spaces around buildings. They work for individuals, companies and governments, from small scale projects like private houses to large scale projects like office complexes and shopping centers. Architects do not only design the building itself, but also the landscape around it, from how the building will be positioned on the plot and how it will interact with its surroundings. Architects also need to consider the purpose of the building, the materials used for its construction and the impact the building will have on its environment.
