ICMA is the trade association for the global capital market with over 500 members based in approximately 60 countries. ICMA members include institutions who are involved in the international capital market on a regular basis: central banks, private banks, securities dealers and brokers, asset managers, regional and commercial banks, investment banks and issuers, also lawyers, exchanges and infrastructure providers.
We represent all these constituents actively, with the aim of ensuring that market practice and regulations in the capital market allow it to work effectively in channelling capital from those that have it to those who need it. The diversity and geographic spread of the membership makes ICMA a unique voice for the market, which is particularly important in our dialogue with regulators and policy makers.
