IdeaCentricity is an award winning social enterprise that has developed a mobile based bidding and matchmaking platform for low income workers (Odd Jobber). It works like Uber for rickshaws (introduced as Rixi) and Upwork for odd jobs.
It tracks workers and Rixi drivers using signals of their inexpensive mobile phones thus working around the need to have smart phones or data connectivity for the low income workers. It alerts workers on their phones to bid for opportunities in their proximity soon after which users are informed about the bids along with information on previous service ratings of each bidder. Matchmaking happens within 3-5 mins, after the user selects the relevant bid ID after which the worker / Rixi driver is dispatched to the location. Service ratings are collected to close the feedback loop after which Rixi drivers and workers are trained to improve quality of service.
