Infohio

INFOhio is Ohio's PreK-12 digital library supporting early literacy, digital literacy, and college & career readiness. To that end, we provide all of Ohio's 1.9 million PreK-12 students with free access to the digital resources--journals and magazines, newspapers, encyclopedias, e-books, videos, images and diagrams--they need to prepare for jobs in the information economy. Because we license digital content as a shared service with Ohio's public and university libraries and the State Library of Ohio, every year we save the state $45 million over the cost schools would pay if they licensed the same content on their own. In addition, 86% of Ohio districts take advantage of the economy of scale available through INFOhio to reduce licensing and support costs for library software. INFOhio's Guiding Principles 1.
