Irish Bioenergy Association (irbea)

IrBEA is the association representing the bioenergy industry on the island of Ireland. Our diverse membership includes: farmers and foresters, fuel suppliers, energy development companies, equipment manufacturers and suppliers, engineers, financiers and tax advisers, legal firms, consultants, planners, research organisations, local authorities, education and advisory bodies – anyone with an interest in the bioenergy industry. Governance and strategic oversight is provided by our CEO and Management Committee, with operational support from an Executive Team. What we do: Influence and Develop IrBEA is called on by government to contribute analysis, policy ideas and regulatory detail to develop sustainable bioenergy markets. Our special interest Groups (e.g. RHI, REFIT, Energy Crops, , Wood Fuels, and Biogas) examine and address key sector issues.
