The cooperative was founded in 1989 to serve for its partner pharmacists according to their needs. Supplies needed medicines, drugs and non-pharmaceutical products from producers and distributes to its 4,000 partner pharmacies in Istanbul, Ankara cities as well as the other cities in Trakya and Blacksea regions. The cooperative is also a member of SECOF (Sociedad Europa de Cooperacion Farmaceutica) based in Seville, Spain.

70’li yılların sonlarında, ilaç dağıtım sektöründe yaşanan kaos ve keyfi uygulamalar; temel uğraş alanı insan sağlığı olan eczacıların kendi çözümlerini üretmesini de beraberinde getirmiştir. Türk eczacılrı dayanışma ve paylaşım örneği olan ilk kooperatiflerini 1978 yılı sonlarında Manisa’da kurmuştur. Bu girişimi diğer bölgelerdeki girişimler izlemiş ve 1989 yılında tüm bu girişimleri aynı çatı altında toplayan Tüm Eczacı Kooperatifleri Birliği (TEKB) kurulmuştur.
