Knipscheer Infrastructuur is vanuit Dronten in 1980 opgericht door Jan en Joke Knipscheer. Na enkele jaren heeft het bedrijf zich ook gevestigd in Almere, hier is nu het hoofdkantoor gevestigd. Na de overname van de Zwolse AannemingsMaatschappij ZAM had het bedrijf ook direct een vestiging in Lelystad. Vervolgens is er ook nog een vestiging in Zeewolde geopend zodat met recht kan worden gezegd dat Knipscheer van oorsprong een ‘echt’ Flevolands bedrijf is. Uiteindelijk is ook in Emmeloord nog een vestiging gerealiseerd om zo vanuit Flevoland ook de omliggende provincies als werkgebied te kunnen bereiken.
Knipscheer Infrastructuur BV is een middelgroot bedrijf op het gebied van grond-, weg- en (water)bouwkundige werken met een jaaromzet van circa twintig miljoen euro. Met de circa 75 medewerkers voert men in de gehele provincie Flevoland en omgeving civiel tech nische werken uit.
